Moran State Park

Featuring five lakes, three cascading waterfalls, historic structures and more than 30 miles of hiking trails there is no place quite like it. Swim, SUP, and try local ice cream at Cascade Lake. Hike the waterfall trail, or visit the learning center and historic tower that tops Mt Constitution. The park is a short hike from the harbor and was donated by the great Robert Moran who resided in Rosarios iconic mansion.

Turtleback Preserve

Rising dramatically from the west side of Orcas Island and visible throughout the archipelago and beyond, Turtleback Mountain offers visitors some of the most spectacular natural landscapes and scenic vistas in the San Juan Islands. Turtleback is home to Ships Peak, the only scenic overlook that truly rivals Mt Constitution. If you like a good hike you shouldn't miss it! This preserve is about a 25 minute drive from Rosario Harbor.
